OUR VISIONARY

 

Born the fifth child to Elizabeth Gaston and Henry Dixon, Michael Anthony Gaston grew up  on the Westside of  the Chicago; where he received his education at Mary Mapes Dodge Elementary School and Richard T. Crane High School.

 

In August of 1983, at the age of 13, Michael united with the Lighthouse Gospel M. B. Church, under the leadership and training of the late great Rev., Dr. Bernice Johnson, and was baptized in October of 1983. He sang with the Voices of Lighthouse Choir and worked in various Ministries prior to accepting the call to PREACH, TEACH and spread the GOSPEL of JESUS CHRIST to all generations.

 

Pastor Gaston answered his calling and preached his first sermon July 18, 1999.   While still under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Bernice Johnson; he was ordained on December 12, 1999. He served faithfully as a Sunday-School Superintendent, Bible Class Teacher, worked diligently in the Prison Outreach Ministry, a powerful and anointed Praise & Worship Leader, and served as the Youth Pastor and Overseer at the Lighthouse Gospel M.B. Church.

Pastor Gaston served faithfully as an Associate Minister at the Lighthouse Gospel M.B. Church. In May, 2000, he relocated his membership and served as the Assistant Pastor of Third Antioch Christian Baptist Church, 

 

under the leadership of Pastor Sarah J. Diming-Riley. In October, 2004, Pastor Gaston joined Mount Zion M.B. Church and Served as an Associate Minister under the leadership of Rev. Darnell Taylor, Sr.

 

Although he answered the call to Pastor, in 2001, Pastor Gaston deemed it necessary and returned to Lighthouse, his original church home, to assist in the growth of the   Ministry, and in July, 2008, he left  to organize  the TRUE LOVE CHRISTIAN CHURCH.

 

Pastor Gaston is working towards his Doctorate in Theology. He currently serves as the Senior Pastor of the True Love Christian Church, of non-denominational faith. He is married to Elect Lady Rockkeya Gaston and they are the proud parents of three exceptional blessed children, the eldest, (Makhira) is serving in Active Duty in the U.S. Air Force and proud grandparents of a set of precious twins.
